Wolfgang Thanks for putting this together. I Find it VERY valuable, and helpful. Some other videos show different methods, but like all design efforts there are so many ways to accomplish similar results. I enjoy your teaching style. Some other videos don't have any speech and move so fast I have to change speed settings. I say well done!

Constructive comment: you can do the surface extrudes at the end all in the same action (tho I dont know yet if you did them individually for a reason), second thing would be to explain why you're doing what you're doing- it helps me to understand quicker. For example the planes for the wings and rudder- I kind of just did them without knowing why. Anyways good tutorial

I try to do those exercise very similar in all programs, this explains i.e. those separate extrudes. The lack of explanation is partly due to lack of time and/or the fact that I don´t earn money with these videos. I´ve monetarized only a few NX videos in order to see how much money I would probably loose ;)

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Fair enough. Maybe you could consider making a solidworks course for Udemy, there isn't really one there focusing on surfacing in practical exercises. Organic forms like cars, airplanes and items like game controllers are not there. I'm not sure, maybe you'd earn something there too.

I know udemy and many others, but in my opinion it is not really worth the effort.

I know how to do my Photoshop with blueprints. I have an question, you did know the Photoshop, didn't you?
@wolfgang.walden.cad.training4 жыл бұрын
Yes, and I´ve done this with the BMW/CAR images, which I split in front, back, side and top image. You should have noticed that video in my channel, havn´t you? Anyway, to arrange about 20 small pictures exactly aligned in 3d would take a lot of time and would fail in the end. So I will sketch the profiles on the big image and copy/move them to the correct place and then adjust them exactly. By the way you can use even microsoft word for splitting images.

please post the link to blue print here

So what would be the problem? Go to my grabacad account - you can find the image within the downloads to this model in my channel.

Not optimal. It can be done easier.
@wolfgang.walden.cad.training4 жыл бұрын
You might have noticed - I try to do it in 8 programs and also kind of similar. So it might be not optimal. So what would you suggest?
@Serhiy344 жыл бұрын
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training I don't know English well enough to write long texts. On the side view plane, draw a closed path. Half of the section projections must be drawn one after the other, making sure to connect their line ends to the previously drawn side view contour. There are several things to consider when building your body. In fact, it's easier for me to show than to explain in a language that I speak very poorly. You have done a lot of unnecessary things that will create confusion and difficulties in future editing of the model.
@wolfgang.walden.cad.training4 жыл бұрын
So, that is almost exactly what I will be doing - tell me something I don´t know. What do you mean are those planes for??? And obviously you haven´t got a clue what I´m doing, have you? I will draw only one half of these sections, and therefore I will need those extrudes to make sure that the surfaces will be tangent continous after mirroring. I have to split this video into parts which make sort of sense, otherwise it will be too long. Also I want to use the image like it is and I don´t want to split it into maybe 20 smaller ones and arrange/align all of them.
@Serhiy344 жыл бұрын
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Tangent can be achieved in different ways. Auxiliary surfaces are not necessary for this. Moreover, with future editing, they can still interfere, not to mention wasted extra time and computer resources. In large assemblies, such parts have a performance impact.
@wolfgang.walden.cad.training4 жыл бұрын
This is not an assembly at all and it has to work in all programs. Which programs do you use?
