It doesn't merge all the surfaces in the Android App. After you thicken the 0.25mm only on one side of the three surfaces they turn out color blue and are no loger merged.

Sorry, sometimes I get no notification that there is a commentary.

I managed to replicate this one but one thing is not quite ok. The thickness you ended up with is 0.25 and not 0.5 as you wanted to in the first place... From a logical point of view one should thicken surface 1 and 5 up and surface 3 on the internal side. This way you get a perfect overlap. But then onshape behaves bizarre when it comes with the filets operation... I had to tweak this up quite a fair bit and proceed with no less than 8 filet operations... This may be due to the version online at present time compare to the one you were using a while ago at recording time... Anyway thanks a lot for your great tutorials working with Onshape.

At that time it was not possible to merge surfaces, I had to go for some sort of thickness. Now you can do it without thickness and merge surfaces.

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Ok many thanks, I will give it a go because it looks much simpler this way (by merging surfaces before you head to thicken the part).

Now that I did use the merging surface feature, I got it done much easier i.e. without the hassle of the thickness being wrong at the edges (external or internal). Many thanks for this great trick.
