Still listening...only this time self quarantine due to a pandemic! Love this song Wow, I’ve been here over a year...here’s what I wrote about this song... Spilling my heart...the power of music... I bought this LP on a visit to San Diego back in I think 1975 in a place called tower records while visiting a very long distance new girlfriend. I was 20, canadian she 20 American and in SD. We heard this song over the store speakers and slow danced to it...it’s what you did back then, all good. I instantly bought the album unheard just for this song...it was the right song for that loving moment (sorry, hard to explain) I was young and this long distance relationship and listening to this song made me look at ways to make the distance shorter...it encouraged me to gain a commercial pilots licence and a thriving and exciting career. It was a great time it was a great era (pre internet) for me. This song soooooo...transports me there...and yes, I’m still in the sky. (I’m 65 now and remain still great friends with that awesome lady (and her family) and she knows that she will always be in my heart...and yes...you really can have life long friends) Ps/ to this day....I still have and cherish the memo that album gives me.

Awesome real life story Tom, just a few years younger than you, live a hour or so north of SD, used to go to several different Tower Records, back in the day, I also bought this album in 75 (went i came out) but I already knew about Neu because of "Hallo Gallo"...cheers

This song takes me to places I can't describe. The minimalistic quality of this piece is what I like the most. A lone guitar playing in the rain, my German heritage bonds to the essence of memories past that aren't mine but I feel an appreciation for the fact that I can feel them. And it makes me feel neu

If I had to make a "top-10 albums of all time" list it would be really hard to not just include the first 3 Neu! records, the 3 Harmonia albums, and the first 4 Rother solo LP's (i.e. the ones he made with Jaki).

Had one OMD album but was never a fan. I will have to check out that track. I first heard NEU! years ago on college radio. In those days I was really into Stereolab & I couldn't believe my ears. I thought Stereolab had a very unique sound but man they lifted stuff straight out of an early 70's German band I had no idea about. I love NEU!

TOMinPDX...'legendary' is an overused word in music ...but I think it's fair to say Neu! were.. I liked (earlier) OMD.. The tracks on KZbin ...OMD did say 'their life began' after seeing Kraftwerk in 1975...who for brief period had k.Dinger & m.Rother as members..
