absolutly, agreeing :) I remember the firsdt time listening to EinNeu. somewhere in the early 80ties, I am still very curious at those glimpses, and he is highly sympathic combined with his genius and the special way to be sophisticated and slice of arrogance, absolutly100% "mit Berechtigung". I was born in in westberlin couple of years younger, but my parents abducted me with the age of four and forced me into "Hahnendorf" about 700ppl living there back then, ... ok, cut sry, Christian , no this is more sad but true, me naming Chr. and little bit kasper hauser ...

I'm glad you brought up the topic of synesthesia. When I was teenager and listened to the music with eyes closed, I've noticed music has colours and abstract shapes. It took me years of study and research to understand this phenomenon. But I've never heard of letters having colours. Blixa, you must be always different than others🤣that's why I love Einsturzende Neubauten.

There's a continuity running through all the albums that saw the participation of supporters. The very word "Grundstueck" stands for that concept. I think that for EN and Blixa this is analogue to a "bardo meditation", but that's a personal interpretation. The hint about renovating a space for a daughter to live in resonates with it, though. Wonderul interview. One of the best ever, up there along with No Beauty Without Danger's and Liebeslieder's.

So the live performances are truly live. They don't just hit play on a sequencer and accompany their record. That is interesting. I don't think the next generations will take the trouble to do this. I see newer bands with 3 people playing stuff with 8 tracks. Obviously some has to be prerecorded. Some instruments are clearly lacking onstage.

Even though I was raised Lutheran, and still consider myself Christian. It would be fine by me if Ayn Rand picked him up from the roof terrace. I'm just Libertarian like that... Removing the pain from history to gain more "social credit" is becoming quite the chic, bourgeoisie statement again these days. Sad... Many places and people in that part of Europe know what it is like to be passed from one totalitarian collectivist hand of tyranny to another. A major reason why I like folks like Blixa.
