Outstanding technique together with a very solid, shining timbre. Being an italian I can only bow to the way she delivers the text. My native language is a very tricky one, namely for hidden nuances in vowels. Emily stands close to perfection as she proves here to be an absolute delight to listen to.

This is the most enjoyable performance I have watched of "Dopo Notte" before. She was so secure in what she was doing and smiled. Smiled! She gave us wonderful embellishments on the second time of the "A" section that were very tasteful. What was so noticeable about her performance was that she did not wave her hands with useless "conducting" gestures, sang coloratura with no contortion of the face and did not move her body around in a distracting manner. I would love to see more of her and these kinds of manners on the stage today.

Of the nine current Neue Stimmen judges, only one has any training as a singer. The rest are pianists, administrators, and stage directors. Of course they don't understand singing well enough to make the right call. It's sad, but this seems to be the direction opera is going in. All the power to administrators who don't know what they're doing. None with the singers.

Tears steaming down my face....her voice is perfection..her emotion her ability to pull us into her song and feel every word every lyric as the composer intended to communicate was felt but she adds charm enchanting alluring flirtation happiness contentment hope and with such a fluid lithe punctuated by crisp yep ethereal notes every fiber of her soul is invested and believable. She has the ability to breathe life into every note and highlight quite complimentary with each musician and the conductor.,what a perfect union of stunning captivating engaging performance she IS a dream come true for those of us who are so passionate about preserving pure artistry truly conductor musicians and this singer have become one as they are all masters of this beautiful tapestry of art.

Better than the mezzo(?) who won! More exciting and visceral voice with a lovely velvety timbre. This is also a soprano though maybe even a spinto or dramatic one. But it is what it is nowadays…
