I can assure you that the motorcycles and moped you saw in the Maybach museum were actually built in Neumarkt. The museum building used to be the factory for Express-Werke. They were one of the first, if not the first bicycle factory in continental Europe. Originally founded by one of the few Jewish families in Neumarkt, they went on to produce mopeds and small displacement motorcycles before they went out of business. My grandfather worked there.

ich hab vor 14 Jahren mal kurz in Neumarkt gewohnt, sehr schöner Ort mit super Restaurants. Habe damals fast nie selbst gekocht weil es so gute und günstige Restaurants gab in denen man essen gehen konnte.
