The Precursors understanding of neural physics may be how the consciousness of The Primordial was able to transfer itself to the Flood as a gravemind. By somehow continuing to exist in an extradimensional information-space as a conscious entity until the neural mass and computational capacity of the Flood was sufficient enough to contain it.

Ben Novak Dude you might of just blew my mind. Even as a massive Halo fan for 15 years, I never thought of this but it fits perfectly. The Primordial was the last precursor. When the other precursors dust mutated to create the Flood, he bided his time (or maybe influenced the situation) until he could inevitably use its understand of Neural Physics to transfer into the Flood and become a Gravemind, pulling together the converted precursors and all their victims into one organism. Fucking crazy man! Edit: When he became the Gravemind, he himself was Flood and he merged consciously and physically with his victims. He was the last Precursor, and he found a way to escape death endlessly. Insane show of intelligence and doing whatever it takes to escape death.

As space x works on star ship, the political problems gets worse, and we all know what happens when governments forget to listen, and the citizen become spoiled. Now, people shouldn't misunderstand observer effect as that person has to observe it. Your interpretation is more nuanced and obviously influenced by what "maybe" the Neural Physics in Halo, so I don't blame you for people who will inevitably come to the wrong conclusions on observer effect and how it relates to quantum physics (I've seen this misunderstanding popping up in comments on advanced physics videos on double slit experiment). Wen Deus EX? :D (If you want to make new channel for it, please inform us in one of your videos. Even though I've registered on your discord, I rarely have the time to go there). Cheers from Poland!

If a sapient being isn't around to consciously observe the result, how can one be certain that the superposition is collapsed by the sensor?
@jannegrey593
@jannegrey593 4 жыл бұрын
@@ethanwagner6418 First of all, my biggest problem is that some people understand that it is Human consciousness that collapses the wave function. That is seriously wrong argument, and some people believe it. I suggest reading comments on videos by PBS Spacetime on double-slit experiment, or by Eugene Khutoryansky for example. Or when people insufficiently explain something like that in Physics videos. Comments, are really baffling. Apparently to some people it is a proof that mind has power over matter and energy. There are some unknowns in Physics (and quite a lot of them), but it doesn't mean that people can go in and substitute whatever they believe in, and talk like it is "proven". Last month I had a long Physical/Philosophical/Metaphysical conversation with a guy, who pointed out to double slit experiment as a proof that Universe listens to our minds, and if we concentrate enough on sending energy with good vibrations to people we love as well as to ourselves, than Universe and Mother Earth will grant us eventually any wish we want if we train our minds hard enough. And miraculous remissions of cancer that are caused by power of positive thinking............... I couldn't walk away, since the guy was my therapist and apart from this wackiness did really good job at rehab clinic where I was. But I'm touchy, since it literally started from me trying to explain to him what REALLY the double-slit experiment means. And I'm no expert - my main area of expertise (and even that is unofficial) being in Pharmacology and Neuro-Chemistry. While my primary Physics hobby is Nuclear Physics, Quantum being still hobby, but one less researched by me.
@thermalvision203
@thermalvision203 4 жыл бұрын
My interpretation of the double-slit experiment is that the act of observing no matter the means by which it is done somehow alters whatever subject is being observed, even if arbitrarily. I do not buy there being some effect caused by conscience acting upon the observed electrons, as the same wave collapse occurs when the electrons are observed by an inanimate, mechanical observer. This is because the act of observing defines the position of the electrons, thus forcing them to act like particles. Then, what is it about observing that always defines the position of the observed? How can and through what mechanism does the act of observing alter something? And that right there is what we should be discussing.

ive been going under the assumption that when the forerunners attempted to fight the precursors, the precursors were just like F that and stopped having using physical bodies(you mention that they loved the interaction of life in reality) and the only reason they kept physical bodies was so they could physically interact with reality. the flood is like a galaxy wide time out, a parent punishing an upstart child. humanity has been an interstellar power twice in halo and after the halo array was fired, life clearly returned to the galaxy on other planets and the flood didnt die. so really the whole thing halo experiment was a bit of a failure. same with trying to push down humanity, the forerunners were told humans were the holders of the mantle and they tried to stop it, but here we are all those years later and the Master Chief is trouncing forerunner stuff left and right. the precursors are getting their way, and to them waiting a million years prolly doesnt mean anything.

The observer effect in quantum physics has nothing to do with the consciousness or existence of the observer. It merely states that its impossible to measure an object without effecting it. Because in order to measure it you have to interact with it and that interaction will always have an effect on the object. On the scale of quantum physics these disturbances massively gain impact.

Here's the thing about neural physics, I think it is a very real thing, at least in a certain form. I've always been extremely interested in physics and recently got interested in the science of consciousness. There are certain physical hypotheses about how consciousness fits into the universe and may actually have some measure of effect on the physical universe. This blurs the line separating mind and matter, since both are forms of information. The Domain in Halo sounds a lot like the "Akashic Records" from Theosophical literature.

from what I understand the reason why observation effects the measurement is because we observe by using photon reflections and the more accurate a measurement we want the more energy those photons carry that reflect off of the subject we are observing which imparts energy into that subject changing it's state aka "influencing it's measurement". So how I understand it is it's impossible to know the state of any quanta by 100% accuracy without collapsing it's wave function because of the energies involved in looking. It's like trying to find the temperature of water by shooting a heat ray at it lmao your not going to get a reading of what the temperature was before you used the heat ray and since particles can exist anywhere with in a certain range of energy and position there will always be uncertainty of where and at what energy it was before it was measured aka it's wave function

AI isnt a bunch of "what if" code, quantum particles reacting to observation isnt a sign of consciousness. We dont even know what an "observer" is, a cat could make the particles to behave like when we observe?

everyone do yourselves a favor and read biocentrism by dr. robert lanza he explains why this stuff is real and grounded in modern physics and explains the double slit thing much better.

Could the flood in a way be their avatar to interact with the universe like a playground or experiment to in times of wanted create and subvert life in experiments ? and could the precursors are outside of it or perhaps are a part of neural physics becoming essentially part of reality ?

This fundamental discovery made in the real universe that's intrinsic to the human specie... deep within its aptitude and universal intuition is precisely the reason why the precursors decided the forerunners were not worthy and instead humanity was the worthy species for the mantle of responsibility, and the events that take place in halo is a means for the precursors to test the humans before passing it on.

I think the structure of neurons gives way for consciousness. So when that structure rots away cosmic consciousness can no longer flow through the so called individual. So I don't think there are spirits floating around. When your neuron structure is dissolved or destroyed that is it for that person.

It’s more than that with the delayed observation of the electrons or photons. If the delayed observation cannot differentiate which slit the particle travels through, then it goes back to the wave pattern. But if you have the same delayed observation, just that it allows you to differentiate the slit, the wave function is broken showing only two concentrations. Truly spooky stuff.

My thoughts about neural physics is based around starlight, namely how stars flicker in the sky. The constant dimming and shining of the stars is like the transistors in a computer chip. This makes the galaxy as a whole into something like a single core in a universe-sized computer chip. The functions of said chip are on a high level of existence to ours, and yet the precursors tapped into it and programmed the universe to their liking.

So... basically precursors could make structures and technology out of thin air at will, while being able to record every single experience by every single creature in this technology. And what I'm getting at is that the flood, onced has amassed biomass at a galactic scale, can use and create this technology. Am i wrong?
