Excellent thorough video. Thank you. It's crazy that we're still discovering new ligaments and basic anatomy in the 2010's.

True. That too in a joint that is extensively researched and commonly exposed to surgeons due to injuries.

I have ACL ligament injury in Oct 2022 and it just ruined by career in Football.After surgery I cannot get back my playing as before I always cry when I realized myself in my Aps Sialkot School and CCI City School performance in Local matches now I realized that I was really something in my game before it was too late oh God.Now I am 20 and just in depression I left study and my parents find me against them and I am on my own universe that I cannot return back.Just pray for me guys I have been died when football leave me and I left study now remaining is my body that has nothing to feel just to be like idle.May your prayers can change my future
@Cat-kw1wb
@Cat-kw1wb Ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. I understand football means a lot to you so it must feel like a great loss. However, and since judging by your name I assume you are Muslim, we should do our best to not be so attached to anything that its loss causes us to give up on our lives. You may find something else you enjoy as much as you did football. And in Jannah you will get to play as much football as you desire. Maybe this was a test for you, to test you on if you are able to bear the loss of something you love. You are young, and you have so many wonderful things left to experience. I hope and pray your life becomes joyful again, and you can reminisce and enjoy your memories of football rather than feeling sadness when you remember it. Also, you would benefit from intense physiotherapy. Train the muscles around your knee joint to get stronger so that they can make up for the weakness in your torn ACL. All the best. You may still get to play and enjoy football even if it's not the same as before.

Very clear. One detail: Right at the end the comment is that as you age the cartilage and menisci wear down. I thought exercise and use could prevent this effect - at least as far as is allowed by the progressive senescence of the articular cartilage chondrocytes...

I hurt my knee playing football doctor said our torn my cartridge I think and it was fluid in my knee to come bend it and I was extremely in pain I was 22 took maybe 10 to 12 years from my knee to work right and I work hard and my knee is swallowing from me walking up and down the stairs painting houses. And after a while my knee hurts so bad. Seems like it takes a few days for my need to heal then it goes back to normal. I always start working is basically exercising. I work so much. Always thought working straighten up my leg. Would my knee ever go back to normal?

Be interesting if they made a robot using Ligaments, The must allow for more movements and degrees of freedom. Same for Tendons. You'd think with 3D printing it could be possible. Boston dynamics is still using circles instead of these innovative natural shapes

Ty, I think, I hope, this enabled me to diagnose my issue. I was just thinking, 'well, it is definitely connecting femur to one of the lower bones...', and you said, ligaments connect bone to bone. I never knew that distinction with tendons, cool. but... Can the MCL get torn from squatting position? Or on your knees, sitting back, so glutes are touching feet. More the second one, actually.. ... I'm confused and searching, because it's not a new activity, nothing happened out of ordinary, but it started in one knee, and then the other like 2 weeks later, after years, I thought that was odd??? ty *I should note I stay very hydrated, definitely above average, but I sweat a lot while in that position, also.

Lol, the next video, the first thing she said was, the MCL runs the inside of the knee. I got turned around by the photo. It would be the LCL I'm talking about :)

From this video I'd say my pain/discomfort is in my patellar tendon, connects knee cap to tibia, 3:00. After the pain started I noticed that my jog thru my neighborhood is all left turns! Hadn't thought about that, but then I realized on a left turn, running, my right knee gets the load as I shift weight into the turn and that seems to effect that ole Patellar tendon. I switched up my route and take turns less sharply, but still fell it stressing. What vitamins do you take for strong tendons?
