I had a neighbor who smoked pot and became psychotic and had to be taken to the ER. He developed schizophrenia and has never recovered.

Thanks panel for the great presentation. Q: provided bad immune cells are blocked, how likely rejuvenation new neurons/glia cells(reversion of damage) . Do we have a model/idea about what trigger that signals immune storm in brain? Prof @Cyndi Shannon

Have you looked into diet? Just like sugar feeds Cancer cells, and contribute to dementia, will fasting from sugar and carbs work in schizophrenia? I also heard that coconut oil is like insulin for the brain. There is an old study on fish oil with bipolar that found it to be significant in stabilizing mood.

I'm getting rid of my schizophrenia by seeing the hallucinations (voices) in person. I like to put a face to the voice or language to the brain (linguistics to the neurobiology).

How could it be differentiated between good immune response and detrimental immune response?

We can differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys by studying the molecules these cells produce. We can use them to tell the type and the abundance of the beneficial and harmful immune cells.
