MomomomoP then, about 1 year later, made a cover of the song using the voice of „Momone Momo“ (which is also a virtual singer like Hatsune Miku) This Cover song then got used by saraj00n in the well-known „Nyan Cat“ meme. So yea, the original song was sung by Miku, however the one used in the meme was a cover of it, but which was still sung by a artificial singer. Also fun fact: the video game series „Hastune Miku: Project Diva“ has the original Miku song in it and an instrumental version of the song even got played during the „Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2017“ concert.
