I'm so glad you posted this. I had never thought of combining Neurographic art with rock painting

I haven't seen it anywhere myself but I really love neurographic and I love painting rocks.. I am surprised there's not more of it out there. I hope you give it a try, it's a little different but very enjoyable ☺️

I would like to try this. I have two questions. What kind of paint do you use to make the lines? And, is there a technique for filling in the spaces to keep the paint from running? I love your channel a lot!

Thank you very much! 😊 I use acrylic paint mixed with pouring medium. You can use any brand of acrylic paint. I personally love Artezia heavy body And I usually mix half paint and half medium to get the right consistency. Another comparable brand is Master's touch from hobby lobby. I have used thick fabric paint for many of my other neurographic and mosaic type paintings, it gives it a different look and the paint definitely stays in place when you fill it in. The craft paints that come in the smaller tubes can also be used, and you don't have to thin it down as much. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions 😁😁 next time I mix a gradient of paints, I will do a tutorial on it 🙂

Thank you so much for your detailed response! I appreciate knowing the brands of the supplies and how to mix and use them. I saw one of your earlier videos and bought a set of the needle tipped bottles. Your teaching is wonderful and easy to follow. Most importantly, you inspire me to expand my creativity, and that's what great teachers do!.

What do you seal your stones with? They always look so nice at the end of the videos.
@artbyanj6 ай бұрын
Clear gloss spray 😉 it's quick and easy, and I can lay out several stones at a time. I usually have anywhere between 6 and 10 stones A week that I paint. So I just wait and seal them all at once. Same spray that I use on my artboards with my neuroart: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJWuqHh4otF6n80si=sAyGQu1gCXRd2ulf
