There are a couple of technical errors: Firstly, examine tone before power. Secondly , when you do clonus , you have to put the knees in nearly 90 degrees. Thirdly, don't scratch by the end of hummer handle; it looks awful. As well as, when you examine for proprioception, you have to fix the joint and very gently ( it is very sensitive test and you don't want to push very hard to illicit it). Finally, even if there is no sensory loss, you need to run up the pin needle over the leg right up to see if there is any difference in the sensation feeling. The course is great! Good luck

my neurologist did most of these, but some of them he left out. are all of these necessary? i never received the sharp or dull test which i see many of on here. My neurologist noticed that I sense different temperatures on my leg and he said there is nerve damage somewhere. He thinks it's my spinal cord which I'm hoping it's not.
