I just want to take a minute to appreciate the depth of this song. Lines like "it's gonna end in more than tears one day" or "this kiss you give is never ever gonna fade away" always sound ominous and give me chills. It's remarkable that pop songs talk about these themes music is a wonderful way of tackling difficult subjects and make people aware of them in a respectful and thoughtful way.

I was in my mid twenties when this hit song came out, it is forever burnt into my memory, and I will never ever forget it till the day I die!. The Eighties were without doubt one of the best pop music periods ever, Beatles, Stones, Byrds, DeepPurple, Frankie Goes To Hollwood, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, Flock of SeaGulls, etc, etc In fact the music of today bears no resemblance whatsoever in terms of thought and sheer talent and expertise that was around then in creating songs to remember forever. You hear them today and you forget them the next day.
