Yeah. IIRC they were best friends for a couple of years, but then they started experimenting sexually with each other and Madonna abruptly dumped Sandra/cut her out of her life without warning. Sandra, who actually loved Madonna and thought they were going to be a couple, was naturally pissed off and started slagging Madonna in public over how she was dumped.

that's not how it happened at all. M & sandra were not lovers. they were besties. they teased the press with innuendo, but that's all it was. they were friends... period. they stopped talking in late '93 when sandra's then girlfriend ingrid casares fell for M at 1st sight, and dumped sandra to hang out with M. sandra was furious, & M wasn't having any of it.. that's when they stopped talking. ingrid stayed in M's orbit through the 90s and early 2000's, but they began to grow apart around 1999 when M started dating guy ritchie seriously.. ingrid was incredibly jealous. did M & ingrid bump uglies? don't know for sure. but ingrid was head over heels for M. 1000% devoted to her & completely obsessed, which M of course loved. M & sandra reconnected somewhat when they were taking kaballah classes together in the early 2000's. they're 'friendly' now, but not 'friends'. and that's how it all really went down...
