Yeah it's pretty common for the clusters to fail and the speedo goes out first normally. Either that or the speed sensor on the trans is bad. Had solid motor mounts in this car so it had lots of vibration. Swap in a new cluster and your speedo should work again

Just curious, Is it a manufacturing defect or what that the speedometer just stops randomly and then all of the sudden works again by itself. It happens on my VW Golf Mk3 1995 and I see it in other Jettas, Golf, and Beetles around the year 95 doing the same thing

Yes and no. I love supercharger blower whine. Made good power, but I got to the ceiling quick. I am currently running same motor but turboed instead of supercharged.

It’s a 2.0 8v 4cyl engine.

At what point are you overspinning the Neuspeed blower? Since they were designed for half of the psi you’re running.

Around 22psi they become hair dryers your okay up to 18psi or so. The loose efficiency after that

@@2liter8valveABA Pulley Boys, have different size pulleys for the neuspeed chargers, stock 2.8" down to a 1.9". The 2.2 will net around 15psi, of coarse there are a number of other factors that effect actual boost level.

@@jamesapgar Boring really make that much of a difference? I have a neuspeed supercharged jetta and yours seems like it's on crack 7-13psi

@@imdirazi it’s a combination of boaring- quality head work p&p this head had +.5 oversized valves, good gear ratio selection for the trans and a nice light weight wheels and tire combo amongst other things. And it was running 16-20psi with the 2.2 pulleyboys pulleys.
