30:16, the reason why that combo specifically dropped was because it was simply too much hitstun, about 1-2 hits over, in the last set when perfeccion dropped it, it was because he wouldn't let all 3 of the medium legs hit, only the last hit of the medium gives the full hitstun, the other two have a small amount in comparison. (for example at 0:57 he only hit the first two of the medium legs so it dropped)

Honestly they'd have to do some tweaks with things like Thunder Shock Surprise if they wanted to revert snap cause I'm pretty sure that just always hit on non-delayed snap and you can combo after it now

I’m starting to think that maybe top players just really like playing Fusions. Because if you think about it, what’s stopping them from playing other top tier characters like Beerus, Videl, Frieza, both Gohans or a ton of other characters people hate or claim to be top tier?

Don't think I've heard too many people say that frieza was top tier. Though I guess I can see where the hate comes from. Also some of those characters are kinda limited with their tools. Beerus requiring a lot of orb neutral which is iffy, adult gohan isn't really much of a character until leveled up and frieza still has some so-so assist options

Because the other characters needs a lot of thinking in a fast paced game and also they aren’t as strong. It’s not that they “like playing fusions” (but can be the case too) but more like they want to win with the most solid team there is and the less flawed character there are Look at this set. Lucar is playing a quirky team that works more online than offline, 16 A assist is kind of a really quirky assist and perfección is reflecting almost every single 16 punch and jumping out of it every time bc it’s not a “solid” assist Videl and trunks are the same, but trunks at least has some really solid anti reflect and long range poking with the new 5S (we wouldn’t even see the character without this buff) but still a really “quirky” mixup character that works better against online fellas. (Not saying he’s bad or anything) beerus assist is cracked but neutral wise fusions are better Frieza is not that good, there is a lot of anti neutral moves in this game. One bad matchup (cooler, Z broly, janemba, jiren, etc) and you lost. Also he needs a big brain to use and can’t mix as reliable. Why play videl or idk ssj goku (with an instant win neutral move rn) when you just can run up gogeta rekka assist 50/50 that works flawlessly most of the time
