Well done Thierry, deserved that one. Great drive. Sorry for Elfyn, started well and then lost quite some time. However, he brought it home with some good points to start the season. Sorry for Seb, I was imagining him with his tenth MC win. What an exciting rally that was, full of surprises, even in Rally 2 nobody expecting Pepe to take the win that category.

Thank you Dirtfish for another weekend of great coverage! Although beeing a TGR fan, i must say i am rooting for Thierry to bring home the championship this season. I'm guessing todays result are pretty representative of how the season will turn out. Hoping for Taka to get the support he deserves, to find that last focus and confidence and he will have no problems keeping M-sport and the third Hyundai car behind, on a good day he is at the level of Thierry, Ott and Elvyn. This will be a great season!

It’s a long season. Everyone understandably love how hard McRae drove but maybe he could have won a couple more championships if he managed the pace a bit more?

I think all in all, most drivers will be quite happy with their result. They all took some solid points and none of them go away from Monte without scoring points. A good start to the season for everyone I would say.

Now Neuville will be rewarded by miserable starting position in Sweden...Starting order rule must be changed, otherwise part time drivers will dominate all gravel and snow rallies.

Third place. He is still very much in the running for the championship with the points he got. I think some people are overreacting a bit after one event.

ahh yes, the hybrid issue contributed some. As someone said above. Evans himself said it contributed some but its not all about that, it is just that the conditions were different for him after Friday (more dirt) - maybe the car settings not perfect as well (similar to Tänak who prepared for some more wintery conditions).
