I, personally, enjoy Bill Burr, and my skin is thick enough that I don't have an issue with his colorful language. I must warn you, though, the Philly rant is savage. Amazing and top tier, but brutally savage. At that moment in time, on that stage, he hated Philly with every ounce of his hot red-headed rage, and he unloaded on that audience like a tornado. But enjoy. Everyone ought to hear it once. I hope TPTB at KZbin doesn't delete it. Their censors have gotten ridiculous lately.

2:25 - He is not wrong about Jobs (and many other company/product figureheads). Jobs built and invented nothing. But he was a visionary who was able to game the system into getting his visions made. That in itself is a type of genius. He is just remembered in the wrong way by most and sadly that takes away from those nameless engineers who were the true creators of the iPhone/etc.

Steve Jobs was a thief and a huckster, and the only reason Apple survived the early days was because he got a lot of funding from Microsoft, which Gates gave him to avoid having serious issues (IIRC the European market was about to penalize him as a monopoly), so Gates kept him alive to avoid being a monopoly. But that's not the worst. Job basically stole the entire credit for the original Apple computers from Wozniak. Jobs was always scum. Bill is, if anything, being too light on the guy.

Ok, lol. What happened with the Santa thing in Philly was that the guy was a drunk asshole. He was making a mockery of Santa, around Christmas. Snow/iceballs were thrown, and some MAY have had rock or a stray D battery in them. We have a motto: No one likes us, and we Don't care. As to the Bill Burr rant, deserved, very deserved. Most will boo anyone, for any reason and they were brutal to the comics.

But you miss the beginning of the rant if you don't get the full version. Also, it's pretty much what propelled Bill Burr into legend status. He talks about it in a couple different interviews and also an interview between Joe Rogan and Bob saget where Bob Saget talks about how legendary that was.

I agreed with his answer too that female reporter asked the question "if women can be funny", I always support everyone right too exist and everyone are equal no matter of gender, skin color, ethnicity or faith. But I'm getting tired when women are always use the "victim card" and complain everything, accuse all men are misogynist and chauvinism instead do their thing and support other women like sports. No one will do it for you, if you want something then you need do it yourself. *edit Aswell with the McDonalds joke, no one is forcing you fast food. You are doing by your self. I'm cooking all my food by my self, never buy "finished microwave food" and eating max 2 times in year Vegetarian Pizza (I'm not Veggies but I don't like meat on my Pizza). I'm not from USA or even America continents but Bill Burr and Dave Chappelle are the best stand up comedian from your country, that's doesn't need for audience being born or raised in USA too understand their jokes.

The Philly rant was... deserved. The crowd was being rude and he came out and... the most impressive part was just that he kept going. He did his time and told them straight up that he was just going to do the dozens on them for his whole time and he did. Just didn't stop. So, I think it's legendary not for the orchestration and the layout of the bits.. .cuz it was extemporaneous... it was genius cuz he did what we all would love to do to people that get in our faces and act like dicks. Just to have that WHOLE script in your head and the composure to just start going down the list. It's like he's the Terminator and just had that livestream list of appropriate responses to a situation....and he just went down the list and read it to them and had no reason to show any mercy and DGAF about who thought what about what he was doing cuz the crowd had earned that level of smackdown.

IMO, both of you are wrong to some degree about choosing a shotgun to use legally for home protection. You really should aim the shotgun if you ever use it to protect yourself and family. You should also know enough to be safe and buy the correct ammunition. If you use bird shot (or even buck shot) and you are a long way away from the target, then the pattern will get wider. From distances inside a home that you are defending, I recommend that you aim and be sure of your target and what is behind the target before you pull the trigger. If you live somewhere that you need home protection and you chose a shotgun that has recoil that hurts your shoulder: Maybe consider using a 20 Guage instead of a 12 guage. It would protect you and yours just fine as long as you take the time to train in order to store and use the firearm safely, legally, and proficiently. Be safe! 😁

Talk to me when you when you finish putting in 150 foot long sheet stamping line at a steel mill. Or when your trawler gets back after 45 days at sea. Or get home after a week of 10 hour days of laying block, all summer, building houses that you'll never be able to afford. I have done these things. And when I'm pulling in the money, making all the payments, supplying the food, the house, both cars, insurance and everything else, I would say that I'm the one taking care of everyone. I may not work 24/7, but when I do work my shift, I work 5-10 times harder. I also did the yardwork, repairs on the house, landscaped it like my wife wanted it and before she passed, I cooked dinner MOST of the time because I like to cook. I'm sorry, but raising kids is not the hardest job unless you have a child with serious medical issues. Hats off and huge respect for those women who have to deal with that!

@@pugowner1347 again all those jobs are jobs...they stop when you clock out. There is no clocking out of being a mom. Even prisoners get time off...even soldiers at war. There's got to be something psychologically taxing about having to be on call 24/7 and having no one to turn to. I experienced a tiny bit of that responsibility when my dad had a stroke and I had to bathe him feed him and change his diapers....i don't wish it on my worst enemy
@vianeyboruel504

@@pugowner1347 also that's amazing that you kept working even on your time off , those men are Soo hard to find! You seem to have your priorities in order. I have worked construction and out in the fields before I've worked as a farmhand and I've both sowed and raped the fields...so yes i do know how physically exhausting 10-12 hour days(we don't have less than than in Mexico/ can be...but again I'd rather go back to that than taking care of my sock dad or babysitting a bunch of brats, job t being able to sleep, go to the bathroom, or eat on peace because you have to rush to attend everything and you have no coworkers is a bitch. At least when I'm doing construction i have one job, i know my job and I do my job well...once it's over i die a little on my way home but i rest til 4 am next morning.i can't shut my brain off for a bit and relax. Mom's can't ...again that's just what i see from having had both "traditionally male" hard labor jobs and having had to mother one adult "child" for 5 years ...give me the tools keep the diapers
@pugowner1347
@pugowner1347 2 жыл бұрын
@@vianeyboruel504 uhm, No disrespect, but comparing childcare to combat is like comparing a firecracker to a stick of dynamite. Not even close, unless you're trying to do it IN a combat area. I would MUCH rather have had the diapers and everything that went with them! I have no reference for which to base an opinion on prison versus childcare, but I would imagine the stress is pretty much 24/7 even if the work isn't. Took care of my mom for a couple of weeks this past May, until my sister got here, while she died of renal failure because she refused dialysis. So I know what you mean there. Dad went by stroke 18 months earlier. His was fatal, though. Once upon a time you could let your kids go play in the yard. Now there are too many creeps that want to grab them. My mom got plenty of breaks as did my wife because the kids could walk to a friends or go play in the woods. Things change. Unfortunately, it's been all for the worse, lately. The thing is, my sister, my mother AND my wife, were she still with us, who all have children, would argue with you because they know. Raising children is a hard job. But not the hardest job. Stay safe, stay blessed.
