One thing that helped me was spending a specific amount of time reading the Bible every day. At first, I would smoke and then read, but after a little while The Holy Spirit moved on my heart and I didn’t smoke until after I read. Next thing you know, I was so satisfied after reading that I didn’t need anything else. The last step was me realizing how all the “beauty” and “creativity” I thought I was experiencing when I was high, was empty and fleeting, and how being high contradicted GOD’s Holy Spirit because the fruit of His Spirit includes self-control and I was not in control of anything when I was high. Greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world! That’s what I remember now when I’m tempted. YAH’s ways are better! If you want to obey The True Living GOD, keep resisting the urge and it WILL go away.
