being from the UK, our coin pushers are for cash typically 2p, 10p, £1 and tokens. I assume your tokens buy decent stuff? or is it further plays you win with the tokens? over here part of the game is to see how much of your money you can get back as well as playing for tokens for "rubbish" prizes, but the kids love the toys so it all sorts itself out. how does it all work over there where you are?
