Rexhep Hasaj I am exactly the same, Robin was my kindred spirit. When Robin exploded on our TV screen on happy days then of course Mork and Mindy I felt like he was my twin or something. I actually could see his sadness in those big blue eyes but i didn't quite recognize it. I don't think he ever realised how much he was loved and cherished, perhaps if he had he would have wanted to stay just a bit longer so i could have had the chance to give him a hug at least to make him feel that love even just for a little while. I miss him and i never met him, i miss his 'spark of madness'. He was too good for this world.................

It's really amazing how many lives Robin Williams has touched. Aladdin was the first movie I ever saw him in, and as I grew up I continued to watch his movies. Even though I'm only 21, I loved watching Robin Williams. He was a light in a world of darkness, and he will forever be missed. Genie, you're free. Okay, I'm gonna go cry now...

To be honest, I never actually cared on the voice actors of movies until I watched Aladdin. When I start searching about Aladdin, I came across comments and post about one of the voice actors in the film, Robin Williams. I looked up about him and I saw that he voice act Genie, my favorite character, and saw whow big his impact was to the fans, I couldn't put my hand down as I'm saluting at him for his hard work. R.I.P Robin Williams, thank you for making my chilhood wonderful.

it was the turning point for sure. before that yes voice talent was not important to the movie. After Robin it started a trend and Shrek seemed to be the one to pin the nail in the coffin. Now every damn animated film that comes out all the emphasis is put on who is voicing who and it becomes the marketing for a film compared to what the story is actually about.

These people are why we can't have a remake. Nobody can recreate Aladdin. There will only ever be one. I saw this on TV! I caught the part where the voice actors & singers specifically were answering questions & talking to each other. I was 4 when Aladdin came out & I still remember how I felt seeing it for that first time in the theater. Aladdin & Hook are my top films of all time. They share my personal #1 spot. I hope that Gilbert Godfrey has seen this interview. He's just as much a part of this amazing movie too. :)

This truly shows how sly Disney is. Robin fell out with them after the release of Aladdin because he asked for them not to push the Genie in the films marketing campaign, as he was only a secondary character. And after giving him their word they still did it anyway, then tried to make up with him by offering him money and artwork among other things. Then when Robin died it was revealed that in his will that Disney could not use his likeliness for 50 years after his death. So how do they get around it? They get their own news network to throw out a special focusing on him more then anyone else to plug the new version of the DVD they are releasing.

Brilliant they got the cast back, and I know they still produce voice overs for the film. I know that a forth movie was talked about but can no longer happen due to Robins contract. But surly they could do something, something? Aladdin is a classic and the sequels all though not the best the 4th can become a master piece if the amount of work and dedication put into the first one is then duplicated.

I was the mailman for an editing studio. I walked in one day and heard a tape of Robin talking crazily (as he does). I asked the receptionist what was going on and he said they were working on a new Disney movie. We listened for awhile. He said they had hours of Robin just improvising. I said "You could make some money off this." He said Disney made them sign a contract giving up their first born child (sic) if anything leaked.
