Hi I bought a c6 z06 corvette 20 k miles just did the upgrade that Gm did not fixHeads done by Katech Harmonic balance to ATI radiator replace Dewitt’s dry oil tank up grade to 11 qts never race I’m 70 years old just fix GM p screw up very Happy with my Dream Car

How did you blow your motor with only around 80+k miles i thought these LS3s are supposedly bulletproof and last 200-300k generally speaking..? in other words what did you doooo?

I see your point about the carbon fiber mods, in your case you say you saved about 5,000 but spent nearly 8,500 rebuilding. So from a certain point of view you only spent around 3,500, but in actuality spent around 33k all together. For that money you could have gotten a good vette with around 40 to 50k miles at least were I live, for around 27k and could have been driving it for a whole year whole while slowly adding what's essentially cosmetics. For me at least, I'm going to for the unmodified low milage and add on the extras as I go. I would rather have a car in good condition from the jump. Mods are secondary.

I'm shopping for a c6, modified ones are cheaper. Seems like a deal as long as it runs well with good parts.

You know! The thing is!! Just like any other second hand sports car..You have to be ready! Don't expect the car to be your Daily! Don't expect the car to be as reliable as your moms camry! Is gonna be expensive! ..

You forgot to mention the most important take, that modified cars depreciate in value faster in comparison to low mileage, all stock mint condition cars. If you buy a lower mile mint condition vehicle, you will lose big percentages of value due to faster depreciation when racking miles on it.

My dad keeps telling me a corvette is such a bad idea, Im 25 and making 70k a year but he says is not a good investment. 😂 what should I do?

If the car isn't all clapped out buy it! If you can afford the note buy it!! Most cars are not good "investments" but some(corvettes) are FUN!!!
