Adam, get a large wide bucket with lid, with air holes in the lid, put shredded newspaper in the bottom, fill halfway with peat, (if you can still get it or leaf mould if not) another layer of shredded newspaper, then top up with peat or leaf mould. Put the worms in and put a sheet of newspaper on the top cut to fit the tub/ bucket and keep in a cool place in your garage. They will love this and live their happily and breed even more keeping you in worms all year. To feed, sprinkle some ground chicken meal on top. (ground grains). Check every 4 or 5 days and feed more when the meal has gone. Worms forever. If they overheat in the summer you will lose the lot so keep cool. If you lose them go get some more and start again. Empty out every now and again and restore the shredded paper layers as they eat that as well. Good luck

Now then Adam. Where are you spending the first day of open season? I’m going to be fishing the Ouse in York and wondered if I might bump into you!
