I love your videos, Leah! I live in a town of 30k people in which the municipal water system is well-based. The water is horrible! My ADHD brain has spent a few years brainstorming how to manage overcoming this. This video has been very informational!

I never bought bottled water until the Texas power outage of Feb 2021. I didnt have power or water for seven days. Since then, i always have bottled water on hand in case the Texas underpowered power grid fails down again. I also bought 7 power banks, and 5 different types of off grid stoves since that hellish crisis.

I live in a part of Florida with some of the best water. The tap water is actually good quality. I do keep a water filter pitcher on my counter for our drinking water because very rarely something does happen to affect the quality, like our hot water heater went bad last year and for a short period after they worked on the main line the water wasn't good, but I am lucky not to need a whole house system like this, but it is nice to know about in case we ever move.

Have you got a video of how to install a device in your sinks or showers to bring hot water any the time - people in my house have to leave the hot water running a long time before showering or washing hands. Thanks!

I've wanted a whole house water filtration system for years. I feel like doing it myself is doable after seeing how you did. However, I have no idea where the main comes into the house. I live in California and the meter is in the sidewalk out front. There is a spigot in the front and back yards for irrigation and a water line in the garage by the water heater.

Just remember most places the city water in developed nations this is absolutely not needed. On rural wells filtration is a very good thing, along with regular testing. Bottled water should be banned. Instead we should have public fountains everywhere like in Switzerland.

Problem is these water supplies may be at safe levels but the taste is horrible.
@infernaldaedra17 сағат бұрын
@@mpmarvin999 water can be high in chlorine, minerals, sometimes well water can have a natural gas odor . The rest of the world is less fortunate that some small European countries when it comes to water availability.
@freeland195910 сағат бұрын
Ours is safe to drink, but highly chlorinated and very hard. Ruins fixtures quickly.
@sleepinglioness57548 сағат бұрын
City water has chlorine and/or chloramine and they are highly toxic chemicals. Filtering systems filter out those chemicals. Rural wells wouldn't have those particular chemicals. Not only is it better to injest, but you are not absorbing those chemicals through showing or bathing, therefore, your skin is softer and not itchy when using a filter...big difference.

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle . I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an adviser and I don't have to do much work... Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
