There are few living legends and true artists in our time, however near Jiro Ono is to the mountaintop, he is still climbing with more energy than ever before. Jiro's attitude of always looking forward, and striving for more in himself, and others, never resting on his laurels or reputation, setting higher and higher goals, is the very definition of mastery. Through this self-challenge, and sense of perfection, he keeps himself in a constant state of sharpness, sharper than any knife in his kitchen, he is a true inspiration.
