I’m no genius but I learned this through experience. I finally realized that simply setting the cigar down in my ashtray is the best and cleanest way to extinguish the cigar. This video is excellent information and I hope it will help others to better enjoy their cigar smoking experience.

We recommend relighting if you sit the cigar down for up to 30 minutes, the longer you wait the more the flavor of the cigar will be affected and it won’t taste the same

It’s not ideal because the longer a cigar that went out sits, the more the flavor will be affected when you go to finish it. It’s a better idea to enjoy two shorter cigars if you can’t get through a full one

Not necessary, you can just let it go out. Cutting through the middle of a cigar will also wear down your blades faster and can gunk them up leading to issues with future cuts

If it goes out you can sometimes relight it if there's still fresh tobacco on the end. If it's all ash, cut it off just behind it and relight.
