Torres is my second favorite footballer of all time after Berbatov. Even as a Man Utd fan I admired this guy to bits. He was so magical and quick with the ball. Truly a legendary and an epic forward. His first season at Liverpool was crazy (over 30 goals in 46 matches!). Won Spain the World Cup and Euro Cup what else can you say? He was amazing. Easily one of the most talented individuals in soccer. I was terrified whenever he was in front of our defense because he always scored against us. I never liked Suarez and Salah but Torres had charisma and influence for days. Best number 9 ever for Liverpool. His dribbling is insane too I can imagine him being a nightmare material for any defense because of his unpredictability and pace. He seemed to be happiest in the red shirt though got to admit. Great and unique goal scorer. The chemistry that him and Gerrard had was simply unreal and unmatched. I miss the old soccer so much. He was such a game changer.

@@miz5138 To be considered the one of the best of all time the main criteria is longevity. Torres never had longevity . He maximum had 2 great seasons. That's all. @12B25 Rajesh S I respect what u said mate but there are multiple ways to look at a player. Some people see the player’s qualities and skills, some people see the player’s trophy cabinet, some people see the player’s longevity either way it is absolutely fine. Torres was the most complete striker you’ll ever see, headers, volleys, solo goals the man could score from anywhere. His qualities and skills are unquestionable. His trophy cabinet is even more impressive World Cup, Euro Cup, Champions League, Premier League title, Golden boot winner. The only department he lacked was consistency and trust me mate it’s not easy to play at that level for a long time even a player like Ronaldinho who is considered to be one of the greatest footballers ever was only in his prime in his Barcelona days.

As a Man United supporter i remember watching Torres back in the day, i was in awe as well as amazement by his playing style, the way how he kept the football stuck to his feet, plus how he moved across the pitch with ease. I can't hate or dislike Fernando Torres there was something special about him. Liverpool supporters were really lucky to have this guy playing for Liverpool at the time it's like he was a head of his time, Torres was a complete machine when he was playing for Liverpool his perfect timing for a first touch, or a long ball, even making the most seasoned premier league players ankles wobble like spaghetti. Torres playing for Liverpool was on a level that I don't think I've seen any other striker match in my life. A proper number 9 who had everything. Very strong, very fast, agile as hell, incredible ball control, could score equally well with his head and his feet accurately. There was also so much style in his game and his looks. The long hair and full sleeves were straight up iconic at a point. Everyone remembers Messi and Ronaldo, but the most passionate fans at the time, those of us who watched and played for those select few years, trying to emulate the skills of our heroes, Torres was an idol. The tragedy of how he ended his time in Liverpool and gave up his future to be a part of the Spanish squad that won the 2010 world cup is heartbreaking. Thank you for showing us incredible football, El Nino. From a United fan.

The guy was so good and untouchable. It is so disheartening to see people trolling him for few misses and forgetting how a beast he was. The reason i started football was him. He made me love liverpool. It was treat to watch him play. #F9T❤️

I read some article where he was called "The Iberian prancer, football's finest matador, who made defenders feel befuddled, like bulls at Pamplona. He was the best, even if his best was short-lived.

My uncle was A huge Torres and Barca fan and I was the opposite A huge Cr7 and Real Madrid fan.( also Man United because of my love for cr7) But I’m ngl I was very impressed with Torres but could not admit it. Now that I’m older I miss this Guy somehow and now play him in FIFA 22. Beautiful memories. My uncle was a Messi fan and still is but he respects Ronaldo a lot. I’m so happy to be born in the 90s. To have witnessed a lot of legendary football matches.

i’m fan of united since 00/01, i was 11-12 years old, Fernando (at Liverpool) was the scariest striker and to be honest his Liverpool version still is the one. There were other great strikers such as Drogba, Henry, Aguero etc, but LFC Torres was the most unpredictable one
