My mains in Tekken are Raven(I mainly use Raven because he resemble Naruto characters in his unorthodox fighting style approach and because he's very unique and authentic, he's my trump card back from T5) I reach it Tekken King Rank with him and I admit it that If you don't adapt to his matchup he can definitely be annoying to fight against him. Hwoarang and Jin( these two are like the symbol of Yin&Yang☯️ in my eyes, they were my mains when I was starting to play Tekken 3 for the first time many many years ago, I also like it to use Eddy Gordo as well because of his Capoeira style of fighting). My List of annoying characters that I don't like to encounter/face are: Jun, Victor, Azucena, Dragunov, Xiaoyu, King, Devil Jin, Reina(sometimes), Yoshimitsu, Feng, Jack8, Nina, Alisa and Lili. So almost the entire roster I know... 🤷🏻‍♂️😅🙆🏻‍♂️✌️

Go into training mode against dragonuv and practice breaking his command throws. It's tough and I still definitely get thrown ingame. We just need to practice.

After about like 7 hours it felt like lmao 🤣 I made it to Bushin with Zafina. Now imma play with friends and learn cause it’ll get significantly harder at this point. Once I’m comfortable I’ll head back. My goal for Tekken this year was to reach Tekkenking with Zafina and place top 8 at a local. We’re getting close.

The problem is that people want linear progression. This doesn’t work for any skilled endeavor. I suck at the game and I am taking it slow. I plan on playing T8 for years so why rush it. I enjoy the game so I am going to try and learn as much as possible.

I got to 13 dan (eliminator? Idk top orange rank) and got stuck as Jun. I took advantage of her Izumo stance and how versatile it is, but definitely getting knowledge checked now. Also its my first ever fighting game so i need to practice reaction time on block and whiff punishment

The problem is certain characters have safe moves that jail and that are hard to evade that they can just spam and you can’t do anything but take it or be forced to take a mix up

i gave up on Tekken. The higher you get, the harder the game becomes. The idea that you have to know what each character does and how to punish it is just too much. I'm stuck in the Orange Rank and can't seem to get out.

Your mentality is the problem, Tekken is like martial arts, you can dedicate your entire life to it and you will still improve every single day. This is normally how it gose. People how think they should win every match and run from challenges will be stuck in orange-blue ranks for next 12-20 years. While those who play to improve their skill more than just winning all the time will have the max rank possibly on several characters in 5-7 years. This is just how it works. Here is an example: In tekken7 I was 1st Dan and my friends was orange ranked I couldn't touch them at all. 1 year later I passed them up. The difference was they hated to lose so they ran from challenges while I continued to lose and improve at a rapid pace. Lab hard and play to get better you want be ranked trapped for long. Play to win and that's all you care about stick to player matches and give up on ranked because you're just wasting your time. It doesn't matter what level you're at right now but rather what mindset are you playing this game with.
