It seems like the first one broke because you put a carbonated liquid in it, enclosed it, and shook it. When you do that it makes the carbon dioxide* (gaseous, mb) want to exit said liquid and into the air (hence why shaken soda becomes flat.) However, the carbon dioxide* inside the glass hammer had nowhere to go, so the pressure inside the glass hammer kept building up until it became too much and the thin-walled glass hammer broke. Edit: upon rewatching the video, it seems as though the container came into contact with his shoulder, which may have also led to the result of the breakage of the glass hammer. It may not have broken had there not been additional pressure put on the outside of the hammer. Edit 2: Fellas, there's no need to defend me just because someone claims I'm not smart. I promise I don't take insults in the reply section of one comment I made personally. My original comment was truly a long-winded version of a hypothesis I came up with regarding what I thought happened in this video. There really is no need to argue over something so menial. I am no smarter than any other individual with internet access. I mean, I am just a 17-year-old after all.

It broke because carbonated liquids explode when in enclosed spaces its like self heating hotpot in enclosured but the difference is the carbonated shatters and the hotpot container explodes because the heating hotpot if enough heat it will explode while carbonated liquid can shatter like i just did with mt dew it shattered because of the pressure inside the glass Miwu teached me alot
