Amazing how these songs are almost the same key, a one semitone difference can make all the difference and a mashup out of them

It occured to me how strikingly similar the songs were when I was listening to Together Forever. They've almost got the same beat introduction and general rhythm feel.

I got Rickrolled to hell & back in '07-'08 (like the vast majority of us....I mean ffs, iOS’s dictionary even recognizes "rickroll" as a word, despite still flagging a whole ton of common dev-related terms as alleged typos), and instantly noticed the...similarity... (that’s *FAR* too mild a term) when I listened to Together Forever. They’re basically just two versions of the same song - and on the same album, to boot! >_> But to be fair to Rick, none of this is really his fault. _That_ dubious honour goes to the songwriting team from his label at the time - a trio by the names of Stock, Aitken & Waterman, and an arrogant group of tw**s if ever I saw one - who were infamous for turning promising artists into little more than cogs in their so-called "hit factory" (especially Waterman, who apparently contributed the least to their actual output, but then tried to claim most of the credit for himself)

No literally that last "To be together forever with you"/"Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you" was so beautifully orchestrated and synthesized that it seems like a bittersweet ending to an adventure, like this song.
