Nice video explaining the features and installation. Did you consider starting at the peak to balance the lights evenly/equidistant from the peak? When I saw you installing that was a concern, but the end result seems to be fine.

I too desperately want eufy to give the option to duplicate / combine settings across 2 or more sets, makes it very hard to get the customization the same across both sets

I had a boom lift rented to do mine. The rental company flaked out and I had to end up using a ladder. I meant to mention all this in the video, but I recommend getting a lift if you can. Unless you have a ranch style home or something.

Eufy doesn’t sell any extensions separately unfortunately. Also, be careful extending more than what they supply. Too much resistance could be added with a longer stretch of extension wire. That being said, I did cut and extend about 10’ more and had no issues. I just used 16 AWG 3 wire that is rated for outdoors. Not the best solution but not too hard if you’re handy.

Can they but cut to size?

According to Eufy, these cannot be cut. The controller only recognizes them in their 10 LED segments. I will say though that I tested this and the lights still worked if cutting off, for example, 2 LEDs from a strip. The app still thinks they are connected so your light patterns will be a little off. Things acted a little wonky when doing this, so I didn’t leave it like that, I ended up splicing them back on. Do this at your own risk and you will probably void the warranty. They can, however, be cut and extended up to an extra 12’ using your own extension wires. Do this at your own risk as Eufy says not to cut them at all.

See, this is a deal breaker for me. They are permanent led lights but what's the point if you can't customize to size for a clean look? Smh

I agree, I wish they could be, but as you can see from my video, I still managed to cut and extend them to have a clean look. Just have to plan to end with a full strip at the end. But I definitely understand. The govee pro lights allow to be cut to size fully. But they are double the price I believe.

The Hook Up has some good info and instructions on how to control the Eufy lights with the WLED DigQuad controller, though he doesn't say whether he can control multiple strings as one string. His pinned comment on the comparison video talks about this and links to a separate video specifically about the setup. Yes I saw those videos and will be converting to those controllers in the future. In WLED, I believe you can combine two different strips into one. Either that, or I could extend wires up to the top box and wire them up as one so long as I leave the power injected at that point.
