I love this. I have heard of it. But I've never really knew what it was just like fasting. Well I guess that is what it is. But yeah I think I will def be doing this. Like they said it's not just for Muslims and I agree. We all need to learn that we are grateful for the things and people we have in our lives and others are not so grateful.

I don't know how some people of the same city would break their fast differently You should follow tha fatwa of you local Islamic center which accordingly follow certain Islamic country in their fast and the lunar calendar and stuff Except fo Eid Al-Adha which all of us around the world follow Saudi Arabia

Not to be rude or anything, serious question. If you are allowed to feast in the early morning and evening is it really that hard to fast? Not drinking water must be the hardest part! Many people don't eat all day anyway haha. Also, the woman who said she swallowed some water when brushing her teeth lol imagine being that scared as a child that would be sent to hell for that! That would be some pretty harsh judgment haah
@Zaaar183 жыл бұрын
My opinion is that the fasting experience is different for everyone. I actually eat only 2 small meals per day with no snacks in between (not healthy at all) and find it easy to go without eating. But ya not drinking water is a dit difficult ......sometimes when I'm working or something my throat feels so dry like the Sahara Desert and I feel weak. Also I live in a place which has hot and dry climate and Ramzan has been falling in the Summer for 3 years for us... but it's okay. While my cousin's who eat a lot find fasting it a bit difficult. They eat 3 large meals and also eat a lot of other things between them. But ya they also get used to fasting after a few days. Fasting is easy if you don't constantly think about it and go do what you usually daily do. It's not like a punishment or anything. As I grew older I got to know more about its benefits and grown to love it. It's a part of my life which I choose to do every year.(English is not my Native language so ya I hope you understand what I wanted to say) ALSO Not everyone's diet is like mine..... actually most of the people's diet is not like mine. Every single person I know eats more than me even my younger siblings so ya

You are right, i have been fasting since i was 12(now i am 21). Its easy for us because we are privileged. We have internet, roof on our head, cloths and most importantly access to food and water. But the main reason of Ramadan is so that we can be grateful for all the blessings we have, to thank God and be considerate and empathetic towards people who are less blessed than us. To donate more and focus on +ve things and stay away from sins! That's the true fasting and not just to stay hungry and thirsty from dusk till dawn.

I am non religious but eating at set time is easy I only eat once a day and have for year's
@Sean-tn5nv3 жыл бұрын
@@jonevans6446 Yeah its only really the not having water that's hard. Especially in hot countries, not that big of a deal in the UK this time of year as its not hot at all most of the time.
@Zaaar183 жыл бұрын
@@shehroza282 I agree with you. I was just explaining my fasting experience and you described the reason why we fast. Yes, fasting is easy but Ramazan is not just to stay hungry and thirsty from dusk til dawn. It is not just fasting. It has a deeper meaning to it and you mentioned it which I'm very thankful of.
