I’m Navajo or Diné, and I didn’t know that much about the origin of the term “Indians”. That history lesson was pretty insightful. Thanks Nate.

his rant was kind of moot as the term Indians to refer to natives also came from a white man, the white man named Christopher Columbus who thought he was in India

Nate. You and my Grandpa would've loved each other. He himself was a of indigenous blood (Mohican) and aside from being a cowboy who could tell you the entire history of the West, he was also an expert on indigenous cultures. He had a whole wall of trinkets from tribes and nations across the US.

This story was told very loosely by a young Matt Stone and Trey Parker in Cannibal! The Musical.

Y'all are going to hell. 😂And so am I. And damn...poor Alfred...Unfortunately, (I believe) this is a thing that happens, be it human or animal. If one of them is proven to be a liability for their group/survival, they are left behind (...or eaten.) I...kinda figured that this is what happened, Alfred eating the others. I wonder if he had a psychological reaction to killing them. Like the trauma he went through made him block out those memories. This is definitely a lesson to keep in mind: When a native of the land gives you warning of danger, *listen*.

Also have to wonder if he was telling the truth. Like, Israel does the killing and the non-targets go along with it because they're just that hungry. Then it gets to the point of it just being Israel and Alferd and they both know damn well what's got to happen next so a scuffle ensues.

There is a term for it in extreme cases where humans turn to cannibalism. It's called Wendigo Psychosis, named after the very creature of native legend.

Its a tiny bit funny that he survived in the wilderness through cannibalism and died after one week being a vegetarian.

Ive watched a native channel and they all have different opinions including the term "indigenous" because again it was a term given to them by non natives
