In the military we called those "dummy cords" Everything was lashed down so as not to lose and easy deploy. Just as you have there.

I hiked a mile through laurel. It unzipped my pack I lost hundreds in hunting clothes. Luckily I found everything. Thanks for the video. Do you like that sitka shirt? Love my kuiu pack you talked me into.

Which compass did you say you use I’ve been looking to pick one up i started dangler system after watching a video you made before it’s such great advice for everyday carry but super important for field nothing like making it to truck after a day hunting and no keys or get out of woods and realize my knife is gone been down both roads in past lol

I don't exactly use a rubber band around my wallet,. You see, I cut a piece of an old punctured motorcycle tire tube, and then I turn it inside-out before putting it around the wallet.
