I said this before but standing on a 16 vs a 7 is a lot worse than standing on a 16 vs a 10. The reason for this is that if yoh hit your 16 vs a 7 and get a 2 a 3 or a 4 you now have a huge advantage vs the dealer. But if you do this with a 16 vs a 10 the dealer is still a favourite. So hitting 16 vs a 7 is a must. Lots of money left on the table with that faulty logic Or in easy terms : if you hit a 16 vs a 7 and dont bust you often win but if you hit a 16 vs a 10 and dont bust you still often lose.

It could be any number. It doesnt have to be a 10. If he has 9 then the dealer has 16 and could bust. The strategy doesnt really matter, in the endn all gamblers are complete losers. For sure. These games are all litterly rigged to give the dealer a 1.5 -2% edge, in fact pretty much every form of gambling is rigged in this way. So how can he still be so surprised to be losing? Blackjack may feel skill based but its really not its all rigged long term mathematically to give the dealer a 2% edge. Only skill based form of gambling is poker and even that alot of time just comes down to dumb luck.

At those tables, when the dealer pick 10, Q, k, J any of those high cards the chance to the dealer having 20 is up 89% every hand. That's is impossible to beat. I know that's his money, but I never play two seats. Better if you put up 3 or 1 seat, alternating some hands with one two with 3 and so on, breaking his rhything... But that's me!

Cody didn't play by the book like he does 99% of the time. 1) First hand of the day he gets perfect pair but doesn't split the 8's against dealer 7. Book says you should split 8's all the time so he should have split against a 4. 2) Stayed on 14 against a dealer 7 and double down other hand. Every decision is so crucial in shoe based Blackjack. Even though the dealer might not have busted anyway, it definitely changes the order of the cards and maybe Cody might not have ended up losing $800k.
