A few things I noticed off the bat: • I love how the music festers in Nikki's part. It starts off mournful and hurt, but it suddenly switches as she burns the tree and gives one final salute. You can't really say she burnt down what she loved, can you? It was already dead; died with Wil, whom she saw the ghost of but was it convinced was a hallucination. Everyone else is keeping the corpse of L'Manburg propped up, yet they hadn't bothered to give it's deceased founder a funeral. If only Nikki could realize Tommy is not to blame, and Tubbo was pressured into the position of president... • As Wilbur has said, he is a man with nothing to lose. L'Manburg is tainted, no longer worth saving; it will die with him. Yet he still sounds unsure at points, as if saying this aloud would serve as proof those words are the truth. What's the truth? It was never meant to be. • Eret convincing themself that this is what's right, because L'Manburg was a pipe dream for fools that wanted power. If everyone else is striving for power, what's wrong with "changing sides?" The two are no different; they're both power-hungry.

it was never meant to be - ERET: Eret tried to help the L'manburg from inside, he tried to help it. but he only saw the corruption of his fellow founders. tommy and his disks for example. that is why he betrayed the L'manburg, because its never meant to be, a peaceful country Eret meant to be. It was never meant to be - WILBURSOOT: Wilbur lost everything when a man as corrupted as the EGG took over the command of L'manberg. he built a bomb and released its wrath to the people who fougth for it. not because he hated L'manburg, because he saw that the L'manburg he imagined was tainted by greedy. it was never meant to be, for L'manberg to be the pure country he imagined. It was never meant to be - NIKICHU: Niki is maybe the biggest supporter of L'manburg. she watched its creation, the petwars, diskwars, first fall of L'manburg when eret betrayed, the summoning of Withers Technoblade brought with him, the second destruction Wilbur brougth, and still tried to bring L'manburg its old glory. but after Wilbur's explosion, and Tommy's rise, she saw how bad in a place L'manburg is in. so she choosed to destroy the only thing left from the very original L'manburg, The L'manTree. it was never meant to be, for L'manburg to be more than memory of a young girl who just wanted to open a bakery.

Here's my thing. L'manburg, at it's core, was a people. It was not a place as the anthem would suggest, but a group of friends fighting against the tyranny of the outside world. Once one was gone, it collapsed. When Eret betrayed them, they were in shambles. They recovered, sure, but that was the first piece that went missing in the puzzle of L'manburg, eaten by the dog of tyranny. Then, when L'manburg was torn apart yet again, Wil went insane. Because it was gone. It's spirit burned and broken. Fundy resented Wil, Niki was alone, Tubbo "working" with Schlatt. What once was a beautiful country was gone the moment Tommy and Wil were exiled. So that's 3 pieces gone. Fundy, Niki, and Wil. Once I thought Wil was the core of L'manburg, and now that he was dead so was the country, but it was gone long before then. So, Tommy gets exiled by Tubbo. Those were the final 2 pieces. "Independence, or death." That line means so much now. The moment their independence was gone, so was their country. L'manburg cannot be rebuilt. What's done is done. Technoblade did us a favor. I see that now.
