Seiya is the real MVP in Usagi's love life. I really like Mamoru in season 1, his interactions with Usagi were funny, and the romantic element near the end was meaningful and low-key choked me up as a kid. But after season 1 he becomes a very dull character and adds nothing besides breaking Usa's heart constantly. I know people argue that in Crystal he's better but I actually like him even less in Crystal. Their relationship there seems to be primarily about making out and being over-dramatic. It's even more empty and boring, and Mamoru comes off as a slimy weed with no personality. Seiya and Usagi on the other hand really captured my heart. Seiya is fun, lively, sweet and thoughtful. This video perfectly demonstrates all that. They had way more chemistry, better communication, and he never made Usagi feel insecure. Even when his friends were being anal to him he still defied them to see and protect her. I would love to see more of Usagi and Seiya together, it would be interesting to have a concept of them in the future like we do of Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion as well. I have a feeling Seiya would be a far more groovy ruler, haha!

Okay, but I have a serious thing to say; One of the main reasons I like this ship way better than Usagi's relationship with Mamoru is because.... Usa and Mamo have a Romeo and Juliet Vibe to them. They don't really know each other that much; I feel like they were young and reckless, and it caused all that trouble. And then they get reborn and they just love each other again? I personally believe they should have more of a buildup, like Seiya and Usagi have. Now, I'm speaking manga, but in the anime, there were a lot more fillers, so yeah, their relationship may be... Different in the outcome.

As a child even though Seiya threw me off (less in the manga because in the manga he was really just a she dressing as a girl instead of the anime where she was literally transforming into a guy) I totally saw the chemistry between Seiya and Usagi! I liked mamoru and usagi when they were still in their love hate relationship but I can never look at him the same after their whole daughter went after him 🤢 after his future self tried to break them up etc. plus seiya treated her better and would of dropped everything for her they had really good interactions and similar interests and she didn’t fawn all over seiya like she did with mamoru they were on equal grounds and it felt really comfy

Usagi should've ended up with Seiya. both she and Seiya had a natural chemistry, unlike Mamoru. every time both Usagi and Mamo stayed together, the more force it looked. I understand they were lovers in previous life but it's not natural or real. besides Seiya has more heroic screen time than Mamo. I was super upset when Usagi rejected Seiya, who sacrificed himself and betrayed his teammates just to be with her. Does Mamo do that, no --- every time Mamo is on the scene he is either kidnapped or brainwashed. #teamseiya

OMG. I love your fan made video! The song & the scenes match really well. This pair is sooooo CUTE, likeable & more memorable than Usagi-Mamoru. I don't feel the connection between Usagi & Mamoru in the last season at all. Too bad, it is the last season for Sailor Moon, yet their love is not strong, look dull & have no chemistry. In old version, Mamoru was university student and usagi was middleschool student, but I felt like they had to fall in love each other because of past time love(I respect and love of Serenity and Endmiyon) but it wasnt logical, especially their age range was so much. For me, in the manga I love Usagi/Mamoru In Sailor Moon Crystal it's Usagi/Mamoru but in Sailor Moon Classic my heart belongs to Usagi/Seiya because the in the first anime Mamoru is either a jerk (a la most of season 1) or a condescending boyfriend who acts more like Usagi's father than her boyfriend. In season 5 Seiya/Usagi's spark seemed organic and natural. Supposedly the animators really disliked Mamoru and it shows.
