Awesome video and great footage Hey that was my car. I still have the box and the pioneer subs and amps but had to get a new car so it’s currently in storage with a single 12 currently in the new car. Since DAI went out I started using pioneers subs again and I’ve been very impressed with the new d series subs
@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname61283 жыл бұрын
Tre Scatti your Focus was a respectable build. The way that Pioneer amp pushed those subs really surprised me. I never see anyone using Pioneer amps anymore, especially on subs. I do see ppl running Pioneer on mids/highs but not as often as I used to back in the day. I like seeing ppl break from the norm & doing their own thing, especially when it beats like yours did in this video... Bet you shocked a lot of bassheads with that build! Are you going to be getting you another Focus or vehicle you can put that same enclosure in?
@Tre_Scatti3 жыл бұрын
@@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname6128 yeah I feel that. I only use pioneer at this point. It’s the only brand that makes everything and does a good job at it. It’s the brand that got me started with audio. My dad had pioneer hpm-100s on the home stereo and when he gave them to me, I was hooked. Now I have the headphones, dj speakers, home audio, car audio, and my stepdad uses the DJ equipment. I know they have been having some reconstruction happening on the corporate side but I feel that it’s helping out and they are improving on their quality

@@Tre_Scatti you've got me thinking about buying a 4 channel Pioneer amp when I add more mids/highs to my build. You didn't say but are you planning to get another vehicle to put this same setup back in? I'm still surprised at how that setup performed.
@russsmith90422 жыл бұрын
You the only one that's ever found a single brand that'll do everything. Well maybe not the only one but I know I haven't. I mix and match a lot of shit I used to be a single brand on it all everything gotta match. Case in point I still like some JL subs from w6's and I used to have that 450/4 and still do but I also had their mids and highs 20 years ago and they sucked ass. Period... Now I use what sounds good to me. I'm going to say one more thing that I'm going to shut up about it. Everybody's ears are shaped just a little bit different so I mean my eardrums got to be shaped a little bit different then yours so you're going to probably perceive sound just a little bit different than the next person not much but just a little. So whatever sounds good to one person might not sound good to the next person so use what sounds good to you and who you trying to impress? yourself! so fuck everybody else!

I’ve got one of the new mono block D8701 pushing a Sundown Audio E Series 15v3 D2 at 1ohm in a custom enclosure I made to fit my extended cab Frontier. I followed Sundowns recommendations for the box numbers. The Pioneer amps are probably the best low priced gear you could ask for. I’ve been slamming the pioneer/sundown combo for over a year and a half as a daily driver who enjoys fucking obnoxiously loud music but who also knows who to keep the outside world happy by using sound damping material.

I’ve been installing subs and amps for years. I’m no expert I’m still learning things. I’ve always faced subwoofers to the rear of the car because that gave me the sound that I was looking for. My question is ,do you get the same sound when the subs are facing up and the port is facing the rear of the car as you would when the subs are facing the rear?
@outlawGFXaus3 жыл бұрын
Sedan facing rear is always a winner , my mate has subs facing up in his sedan and only hits 142db with 3k .....i got mine facing back with port back , 140db at 600 watts
@skywalkerclone19783 жыл бұрын
Subs facing rear has always been the best I’ve heard in every system. Only one was a band pass box that sounded better with the ports facing forward. But ported and sealed boxes with the subs facing back have ALWAYS been louder. Oh yea I had a Nissan hardbody pickup with one 10 in a sealed box behind the bench seat that surprisingly sounded amazing lol
@PeterFeltersnatch8523 жыл бұрын
The port is facing the rear so basically the subs facing up have not one thing to do with anything now if the port was facing up I could see or understand what you're saying but basically this is rear facing because the port is facing the rear
