Thank you whoever you are. Question. Why would Mr. Kipman not mention Microvision when he has been on record naming other partners who aided in the development for Hololens? Are they, meaning Microvision, an "engineering incubator" of sorts for Microsoft albeit a cheaper one? The distinguished Fellow needs to clarify, I am totally confused- or am I the only one? chancy319 I listened to the annual share holders meeting on May 18th, @ 9AM PST/ 12PM EST .. I can confirm.. it was in the q&a, someone asked if he would confirm the legitimacy of this video... and because of I suspect on going acquisition talks and NDA, he couldn’t say the product in the video... he also mentioned (like in the quarterly ER call on May 7th) they are seeking strategically seeking an acquisition.. CoVId19 is a blessing to this companies stockholders... HoloLens fills the gap of working remotely, virtual 3D meeting are possible with hololens, I love it!!!

Yes of course I tried it out first haha. I am actually developing a Mixed Reality app on the Unreal Engine (4.25) and got 5 hours to try out my app, along with other apps (MissionAR). The display itself is an absolute joy to use. Initially my first impressions were poor, but that was due to user error during the calibration phase where they sync your eyes to the display. I had initially not pushed the hinge down to the fullest (as it's able to flip up), and I believe because the eyebox wasn't directly perpendicular to my eyes, I started to see extreme rainbowing and color banding. I decided to do the calibration again, and during the instructions I noticed that it told me specifically to make sure that the device is fully pushed down. After doing it again, the whites were white, and it was extremely sharp. The large white panels were no long color banding, and maybe only 5% of an entire white are would have a bit of color speckle to it. The handtracking is a joy also, but I found it not as intuitive as my Hololens 1 (which I will NOT teardown lol) for some reason. I think it's because I was used to air-tapping and now I had a wider range of options I could utilize. The future is bright for Microsoft and their Mixed Reality system, especially if the continue on progressing with this specific type of display technology. I believe it will enable them to reach wider FOVs (over 110deg), foveated rendering, and a more efficient eye tracking system. I can't wait.
