@forthewinberly
@forthewinberly 5 ай бұрын
@@AJ-ht3kf I know a few have spoken about their ADHD diagnoses for sure, but moreso casually and less direct than Damien does about his diagnoses on stream. As a note, thanks to @idioticimproviser for not naming or diagnosing anyone who isn't ready to speak about it yet, but like recognizes like, and neurodivergent individuals get it right more often than not. As someone with AuDHD who works with AuDHD children and young adults, I agree that many of them are ND. Labeling that many of the cast and crew of Smosh are neurodivergent in a very much neurotypical-centered world doesn't really do anything but destigmatize that it's "bad" to be neurodivergent for the neurodivergent individuals coming into their own.
@AJ-ht3kf
@AJ-ht3kf 5 ай бұрын
@forthewinberly Ah okay. I could possibly be on the spectrum, and I view ND as mainly a social thing, which isn't bad imo. As I'm not too familiar with the concept, I'm not sure I'd be able to clock people but I'd like to have a space where people are how I am, potentially diagnosed in adulthood rather than childhood. And as there are more ND resources for children, rather than adults, it is comforting to find NDs in online spaces like YT, especially in social settings. In the end, just trying to figure out how to be myself but also make it in this world, so guidance from people like Damien is encouraging than simply NDs who use their diagnosis to further their interests.

@@SeaSiren14 Neither axis is necessarily independent or dependent. We have conventions that are taught relatively early in education but those conventions are not so absolute. After all, bidirectional causation exists which requires one to decide which axis takes which variable. For this game, I actually feel assuming bidirectional causation might be the best way to play as it leaves more room for creativity.
