The lore to the game is very sad and good: A wife and a husband married and then multiple years later when their old we play as the grandson and we come visit gramma for a hand out time, after we see scary sights which is the dead grampa that is watching over us and trying to bring us toarwds him. The backstory to how he dies is he gets shot by the gramma and then the gramma commits suicidal actions, seeing gramma is all in our head and each time we take a picture, thats 10 years back in time witch is why when he took the picture at first she wasn’t there and then she was after. The revolver is the same one that she killed herself and her husband with. It also explains why toarwd the end of the game you see gramma younger. When we go to sleep and have the nightmare it’s just flashbacks from when they died and when we wake up we play as grandpa when he was alive, then when we telaport outside we play as gramma and see ourself walk down the hill, then time goes back and we see ourselves pull into the driveway. This is because it’s an endless loop of flashbacks from when grampa died. We are actually in a coma and this is just the good memory we have before you die. Hope you liked it it took a long time👍
