She absolutely stole the show that night. Rhianna was on next with a huge production: dancers, costumes, lots of action, the whole shebang- and it was still nothing compared to Adele standing by a grand piano singing "Someone Like You". I love Rhianna, btw.

I remember watching this live on TV, this song at the time was unreleased so nobody had heard it. I was with my family, 8 of us in the room and for the entire song we were stunned silent, it was a geniune OMFG moment, it will become iconic if it's not already, I knew at that moment she was special, superstar is too easily attached to artists these days, Adele is so far ahead of anyone else it's ridiculous. I think she had already released it a month before the Brits, with the album. It was the second single. The first time anyone heard it was when she performed it on Jools Holland in November a few months before this.

I love this performance and it was after this that her career really took off ,and people stood up and take notice of the fabulous Adele.My favourite of all though has to be at the Royal Albert Hall ,where she gets the audience to sing the chorus ,and then cries herself at the end.It`s an incredibly emotional song ,and when you`re going through tough times ,it can easily bring tears.Just shows you are human.Thankyou for this reaction ,and i hope things are going better for you now.Whoever said Life is a rollercoaster is absolutely right.And ,the amAzing Adele puts it all into words which resonate with us all.x

The song really hit you at the same point it always hits me - when she says “Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste”. The ache in her voice at that point just kills me and, to this day, despite hearing this song dozens and dozens of times, I still well up.

I've been lucky enough to see Adele in concert and MAN, when she sang this, the whole audience was in tears, including me as we all tried to sing along!😭 To say she's incredibly talented is an understatement. Also, she is hilariously funny - between songs she had the audience laughing out loud with her wit and she SWEARS constantly which just makes her even more loveable! I remember watching this when it aired she started to tear up during the performance - IT IS SOOO EMOTIONAL!😭 Just stunning. It was Rolling In The Deep that was her first worldwide #1, this song came after. I prefer her MTV VMA performance of it which is more emotional and doesn't have the pointless shots from a mile away... rather, the camera is on her up close all the time. Adele sounds absolutely amazing on her new single Go Easy On Me.
