This had me looking up stuff on the game. Turns out it runs on an engine called "Asura" which is made by the studio themselves, and Shinta Nojiri has worked on a bunch of Metal Gear games, but the studio itself British. Maybe the fact that the director of the game lives on the other side of the world of the developer is the reason behind its quality. That is unless he actually moved to the UK for it, but I can't find anything saying he did.

It's the same engine they used for AVP3 which means this game could find a home on PC eventually.

I'm not sure how to feel about this video. On the one hand, it's really odd that I seem to understand the mechanics better than Brad does without even having played the game (the eye meter regenerates over time while you're dismembered so there's no penalty to using it), and on the other, I think this looks way better than Alex made it sound or Brad seems to think it is. It's not like I'm gonna rush out and pick up NeverDead, but I think the story looks weird enough to carry the gameplay.

I agree wholeheartedly, but in the same sense, you gotta take into consideration how the game plays on a base level. For all we know (I'm assuming you haven't played this game, if I'm wrong, I'm sorry), the game could control and feel like utter bullshit, making playing the game "better" impossible or at least hard as balls unless you spend time with what could be a pretty crappy game.

How did they not realize the snake in a bottle was a thing that lets you regen your parts even if you shouldnt be able to? God damn. They pay attention to the shitty dialog but dont read even the simply sentences or think about whats going on.

Holy fuck Brad is bad at games. He looked at the right way to go in the vent for 5 seconds, turns around and then spends 2 minutes not sure where to go.
