I think it is quite apparent that these animations were made by three different people. - The "Background contrast x special effect" guy (Fadia, Lacrimosa) - The "Facial appreciation to IMPACT FRAAAMES" guy (Nanally, Sakiri) - The "I paid for the full hand rotation, so I’m using the WHOLE hand rotation" guy (Adler, Zero) Jokes aside, I’m seriously concerned about that one animator’s take on the human wrist and hand. To put it in perspective, Adler and Zero went through a whole -270 degree rotation. Sure, it’s not physically impossible, but it’s ridiculously impractical. To be really fair, though? Animating a weapon to pivot on the hand can be quite time-consuming...so maybe he just went for the feeling for the beta. Other than those small nitpicks...holy sh*#, I really love how the first animator (who worked on Fadia and Lacrimosa) animated their weapons weight correctly. Oh yeah and someone said that the character is designed like "indie vtuber" models, which is somehow HELLA ACCURATE

Since a lot of ppl are pointing the designs... I saw that people found some AI generated files in the game(from Nanally and Mint) that could maybe imply that they just generated via Stable Difusion and then created the characters on top of that, which sucks a lot and its disgusting if its true

That extra explains how too many of the characters got a feeling of lazy Barbie doll frame’ery even to where some attacks look similar in motions at certain frames and what not, even hiding them with sound effects and particle effects. Doesn’t help the ultimates look less like special attacks and more like camera changes that remove the ongoing field to look clean but end up looking a lot more close to pre rendered cutscenes for the first half of the attack.

Honestly I really like the animation, they're very smooth and expressive. Their fighting style are really nice too, love the blood (?) shooting girl and the guy using a cane as a gun.

Now this is getting interesting. The movements here are really smooth. Of course, there’s still some parts in the animations that need to be ironed out. Although, i can’t help but feel that this feels as though it’s Genshin + HI3. It has the smoothness of Genshin but it comes with the rather clunky-ish feeling and over-exaggerated special effects of HI3. Hopefully, this is still the close beta so it still can improve. I think it’s ideal If they cut down a bit from the special FX and get rid of the screen shaking. It’s those two things that HI3 and some other games suffered from because it either obscures vision (getting flashbanged) or it just doesn’t look good (clunky feeling)

Why so many haters in comments? 😅 I agree a few of the designs are too similar to HSR. I think they need to invest in a better designer if they have to resort to copying Hoyo, BUT the purple girl looks unique and I love her animations. There's a lot of potential here. They just need to look away from Hoyo. They'd probably be better off referencing popular anime characters than trying to copy Hoyo's homework. And it's a weird situation too because the characters that look really original like Mint and the purple haired girl look really good. They just need to have either more confidence in their designer's creativity or they need to simply invest in hiring a better artist.

For a first CBT, it's amazing especially world/anomaly exploration. The only thing I REALLY hope they improve later is combat movesets. Movesets feels too lacking even compare to ToF characters from 2.0. I'm worried because NTE choose to make 4 player switch style which might limit a bit. To have as much combat as current ToF might be hard so I'm fine if it's choose to at least as 2.0 combat. Some will say "those move is just a waste, player will just use a few that do most damage". Ignore them. They don't understand that implies on other games as well as long they planning to have the most efficient way in combat to speed run.

Also my comment wasn't in response to their arbitrary opinion about their wolf vs. Lycaon, it was towards the "it needs more polish" dumbfuckery. If you look at ANY beta content and your first thought is "it needs more polish" you need a firm punch to the face. OF COURSE it needs more polish - it's *not done.*

This game needs more polishing, and I hope that they will deliver a good game in the end. My main problem with the game right now, is the combat, it looks too simple, a lot of characters looks too simple, not too much unique mechanics in their kit, aside from some movements abilities (like the gravity one). Best example of what I'm talking right now is Wuwa, with Camellya and Genshin, with Chasca.

Most of the character designs are okay-not bad, but not great either (this is usually called 'mid,' though for some reason, people get upset when I use that word, LMAO). The ultimates are alright, but the skill effects could use some improvement. The combat is decent, and the world is fine. Overall, it’s decent for a CBT but definitely needs some improvement here and there. I’ll still give it a try when it releases.
