I get what Mark meant but I am less worried about it with how INEOS is going on with things in transfer window. They can probably sell 3-4 players in a week and I won’t be shocked. Number of factors probably. Depends on if we can get a new CDM, if we can off load players and seeing how Collyer does in preseason. The off loading players is probably the big one, if we still have Casemiro, McTominay (not a cdm I know) etc then I don't think it's feasible. Amrabat would be my choice as back up, he can also play in other positions if we're in a dire situation again and was decent at the end of last season.

Kobbie Mainoo proved it, not necessary a loan deal to championship is needed before breakthrough the first team. After all Toby Collyer has played very well in the last two friendly matches against Rosenborg and Rangers. He will be a good cover for Amrabat. Wish Manchester United takes Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi into consideration, if they are unable to sign Manuel Ugarte
