I think you misunderstanding the whole point. He's never claimed that it was fake or not real. He's basically emphasizing the world we see, and the way see observe is all just imagination. People get triggered when they hear "imagination", but the true reality is our consciousness. In another light, the whole world is our creation. God exists in our imagination, or in this case, consciousness. He's looking at the scripture from a conscious point of view, and embedding himself in the stories of the bible.
