Oh no. I love it too. I remember my parents going to the big meeting and the buses full of comrades going to meetings and these music blasting. Sad to say the PNP stalwarts have died in my area. This area that was developed by PNP. Now shittttt taking over. If anything go like what old time saying go. Carl Thompson turning over in him grave.

I still have the vinyl 45 record up to this day. The Parish name St Mary was almost changed to St Michael in the 1970s. 😆

Degoeccles, my husband and I knew your father and wrote about him in our Reggae Quarterly magazine in 1985 or 86, and we sold a few records for him in Canada. Clancy was a giant of reggae and produced some of the most memorable (but unfortunately overlooked) music. Thank you for keeping his music alive by posting important songs like this one. (although my husband has a soft spot for Kingston Town)

Was looking for this song for days now. It popped in my head and I did not know the title and then I started typing parts of the song and added PNP son in google and it brought it up. I used to listen to it over and over growing up as a child. Love the lyrics and the words. Thank God for the person who put these songs out in google and KZbin keeping these memories alive.

Because of the success of this record and the impact it had on the '76 JA election an instrumental version called "Tidal Wave" was released on a separate 7". When I get time I'll get it out of my record box and put it up on here.
