Hey Nev, How are you mate? I was at SAn Remo pier yesterday (Monday 20 Feb 2023) to look out for some flatties and squid. It was a disastrous day. First I broke the ip off my squid rod, but had a spare. I was up at the end where the fishing boats tie up near the Fisherman's Coop. The incoming tide was running fast and despite using a reasonable sinker, the current was strong and took my brand new squid jig on a "world tour" After the third cast and when reeling in , the jig got stuck on a snag under the pie and that was despite by casting some 30 feet into teh channel. Goodbye $25 squid jig. Tried some soft plastics on a paternoster but not a solitary bite. Were you fishing off the Cowes pier on this one? Thats fishing I suppose. I think I shall give the trout a go in the streams of Noojee. Cheers mate.
