I'm still rocking the Soundtouch 300 along with the Acoustimass 300 Bass module and rear surround speakers. I have the surround speakers up high behind me so I get a lot of good reflective sound. It still sounds great and don't feel the overly compelled for an upgrade as yet. I'll wait for a good sale price down the road. The hardware is great, their software and installation processes still blows chunks though. New users can expect some frustrations, patience is required.

What is the power of Bose Ultra? There is no such information in any specification. Someone only mentioned somewhere that it is a 5.1.2 system

I'll be receiving mine Wednesday. It's replacing a Bose Soundtouch 300, so hopefully I notice a substantial improvement. I ordered it to save money since I already have the 700 Bass Module. If it doesn't sound like a big improvement, I'll return it and get the Samsung Q990c or d. Did you notice any annoying reflections off the glossy top while watching TV?

@coltsfan7718 absolutely, especially if you have the 700 bass module. The sound is so much more powerful and immersive and the AI dialogue mode is no joke. I don't need subtitles anymore for anything. I do wish the upfiring speakers were more impactful, but the bar has a great soundstage.

I don’t understand how the soundbar can be a 5.1 channel speaker? Don’t you need to add the bass unit and surround speakers to get the 5.1.2 channels for Dolby Atmos? I know other reviewers are saying it is a 5.1.2 system, I’m just not sure how that works as a standalone.

The two speakers on top are the heigh speakers then you have 5 around the front and a woofer. But in my opinion the woofer is not good enough stand alone, you really need the bass module to produce that lower frequency.

you can always move things around in a few years, the biggest benefit of sonos is connecting the rest of the speakers in your home to the system. If you dont have people over at your house alot then its not as important.

@@WaltsTV I live in a tiny (600 sq/ft) 1BR, no need to expand really, another reason I didn't go Sonos 🤷🏿‍♂️

one flaw.....no HDMI in. That would have been great for streaming devices. So, if you have a Nvidia Shield TV, Apple TV, etc. You will need a HDMI splitter. Otherwise I have been impressed with mine. I have ceilings that are at second floor height and it fills the space effortlessly with clarity and direction. The sound stage is very nice.

Yup not sure does work flawlessly with my LGc3, Apple TV 4K, and ps5 plugged in. No issues and man it sound amazing! It’s like I have speakers all around me but it’s just the soundbar! Blew my mind

Great review my friend , I own this combination ( sans ultra .. I own the 900 but it’s the same ) but i noticed you didn’t review those outdated , goofy surround speakers 😂😂😂😂, the whole ball and chain , passive speaker wire , the power bricks are bigger than the speakers…. What the heck were they thinking … do they not know the Sonos ERA 300 exist? Bose needs to fire someone for that idea.

yeah its just a cheaper way to make that system work but I do not like it like alot of people so thats where bose, jbl, and sonos do a good job of providing that clean look! And Thanks for the feedback!

Happy until I tried to update the software/firmware. Almost 1.5 days! WTF BOSE! The customer support was worth human waste. I really hope nobody experiences this! Just a heads up.

What a fake video? Not once this guy showed how he opened the box or connected the soundbar with bass module but kept showing a video clip of the bar and module from some video he got from whichever source, and made this whole video with the information available on the Bose website and read thorugh the whole speech and made the review video. Really? how come no one is observing this fake element in this video? This is really a horror how that this person is cashing in on by making a cut-paste video clips from here and there, claiming he is reviewing the Black set and done. Got thousands of views and he made the video. Talking about price point. Did he even say the price? Wow! How can someone fool the whole youtube viewer community and no one observes the fake video. How come the whole video is about the Bar and the Module, but the Demo in the end is given only of the Soundbar. is that even the smart soundbar or the soundbar 700? The camera is zoomed so much that we cannot even see the corners of the soundbar, hence, we cannot know if it's smart ultra or 700 or 900, there's no guarantee. This is a fake video.

Sorry did you actually watch the video? Not really sure how I would "fake a video" but it seems like you have a pretty good idea! All of the footage is shot and edited by me and me only! If you watched any of the other videos I have done you will notice I use the same backgrounds because I like the way it looks! I work in a TV and appliance store so yes I have access to whatever products I want to do a review on. Nice Try!
