Thanks Eva. I’m over the moon for the owner. We did a wee trial dig in a Horse paddock a month or so ago and unearthed an Elizabeth three pence from the same era and we’re waiting on cows being taken off the field for winter and then boom, a beautiful silver sixpence. The landowner came detecting with me the full day and was frightened to speak in case she ruined the footage and I said…. No! Get as excited as you want…. It was great to see and brilliant she got to see that history unearthed

Oh you legend! That is just sensational. Good strike, looks like a full flan too, no clipping at all which means it probably was dropped when pretty new, before it reached the hands of the heathen!! Hi Andy. Can’t see any text on the back of the buckle thing, I think it’s machine pressed, but yes the hammered is brilliant. Full flan and the detail is fantastic even the bust isn’t too bad and with her they are often worn away! Thanks for watching

@@thescottishdetectorist Unfortunately (or maybe not?), winter in my area comes early and leaves late. It happens that the snow lies until the beginning of May. Whatever it was - "nature has no bad weather. Every weather is a blessing. Rain and snow, at any time of the year, we must gratefully accept" - these are the lines of one of the most famous Soviet songs. That's how we live)). I will watch videos of those who can still dig and find interesting old (and not so) things, accumulate "search hunger" and clean the finds of the season that has ended.

Such a shame your digging partner couldn't keep the hammered, but it's more important to the home owner to have the historic pieces that tell the story. So I can appreciate that. Especially when you have so much history everywhere. Here in the US, just finding a 120-150yr old coin is a big deal to me. I'll find my Reale someday. :) love the channel and the history lessons with each find. Best of luck.
